Converting Gas Dryers Natural Gas to L.P. & L.P. to Natural
Question: We recently moved and are now on LP. My dryer has not been hooked up yet. On the same tag as the serial number, it states the following: Equipped for Nat. Gas (for natural and LP gases). Do I need to do anything special before we start using it? Answer: Yes, you need a conversion kit to convert it from Natural Gas to L.P. Gas. My dryer is setup for L. P. Gas, how do I convert it back to Natural gas? Simple, just install the orifice and regulator plug that came with your dryer originally. - But hey I don't have them, or I lost them or my dog ate them .... then just order the natural orifice and regulator plug. I have a electric dryer, can I convert it to gas? - No, it would not be cost effective. Sell your electric dryer & buy a gas one. I have a gas dryer, can I convert it to electric? - No, it would not be cost effective. Sell your gas dryer & buy a electric one. |
