Clothes too hot
  • Check all thermostats
  • Check heating elements for shorts against surrounding can
Drum will not turn
  • Check blower fan for frozen bushings or debris
  • Check door switch
  • Check drum belt
  • Check drum bushings
  • Check idler arm and wheel
  • Check motor for power
  • Check support rollers or pads
  • Check timer
Dryer will not heat
  • Check all thermostats and thermal fuses / limits  All should have continuity.
  • Check circuit breakers or fuses on house if one leg of the 220 is dead , the dryer will run but not heat.
  • Check heat selector switch
  • Check heater element for breaks (Most Popular Problem) Ohm out heater using ohm meter or physically inspect wire for breaks
  • Check switch mounted on motor. Two of the terminals are for the heater element operation
  • Check terminals going to heater elements
  • Check timer

Gas Models::

  • Check the igniter 
  • Check the thermal fuse
  • Check the coils on the gas valve
  • Check the flame switch
Dryer will not run
  • Check PUSH TO START switch
  • Check connections from power cord to terminal block
  • Check door switch
  • Check power at outlet. Should read 110 or 220/240 volts
  • Check timer for power
  • Try door switch for action or clicking noise
Dryer will not shut off
  • Check for power to timer motor
  • Check sensors (on some models)
  • Check thermostats
  • Check timer motor for advancing
  • Check timer switch leads to timer motor
Dryer making noises
  • Check belt
  • Check Idler Pulley (Usually a high pitched squeak)
  • Check blower Fan
  • Check motor
  • Check Rear Drum Bearing (Usually a high pitched squeak)
  • Check front drum guides
  • Check for a loose drum baffle
Quick Tips

Problem:
Gas flame comes on first few times then quits and ignitor keeps cycling on and off but never lets the gas go.
Answer:
Replace the coils on the Gas Valve.

Problem:
No flame, no ignitor at all,
Answer:
Inspect ignitor for small burnt spot on dark gray or black part of ignitor or check for 110 volts to ignitor when dryer should be calling for heat, or check for continuity with ohm meter.

Product Damage

· The ignitor at the end of the burner is very fragile.

· Do not hit or bump this.

· Handle with care.

Failure to do so could result in product damage.

Problem:
Dryer takes too long to dry or multiple times to dry a load
Answer1:
Pull the dryer out away from the wall. Unhook the vent from the dryer completely. Do not put anything over the dryer exhaust on the back of the dryer. Do a normal load with the vent unhooked. If it dries better or ok like this then the problem is in the dryer venting. Like a blocked vent pipe or a smashed or restricted vent hose.

Answer2:
If the vent  doesn't make a difference, then check the blower wheel for excessive lint build up, check that there isn't anything stuck to the air intake baffle inside the drum, (i.e. the screen on the back wall of the dryer when looking into the drum). Check the lint filter chute for blockage. Check that the heating element isn't shorted to ground. Check the exhaust temperature of the dryer. A meat or pocket  thermometer can be used for this. It should cycle between 120 degrees and 180 degrees. Check that the rear drum seal isn't worn out.
