Do Not Use Any Sharp Objects Around Coil To Remove Ice. If you puncture this coil you might as well start shopping for a new refrigerator.

Use a Hair Dryer to melt any ice

Unplug Refrigerator and remove everything from freezer section

Remove 3 screws Do not remove the outer hinge screw or the door will fall off.

Slide mullion strip out from under door hinge admref2.jpg (57633 bytes)
Flex corners, one at a time,  while pulling forward on freezer bottom admref3.jpg (52116 bytes)

Bottom will hang on mullion brackets. Us a small screwdriver to get bottom past brackets admref5.jpg (58603 bytes)
Slide bottom all the way out admref6.jpg (48892 bytes)
Remove Styrofoam barrier and thin metal heat shield 

Be Careful, Metal fins are very Sharp !

Evaporator drain hole and clamp that hold coil down. You must bent the clamp to get the coil loose and raise it as seen here. This coil is Aluminum - Be Very Careful with it, the fins are extremely sharp and the metal is very soft and easy to puncture . Do Not Use Any Sharp Objects Around Coil To Remove Ice. If you puncture this coil you might as well start shopping for a new refrigerator.
